It would be hard to imagine this shot being done better. The toning gives some aging to the look, a little like one would expect to find in a museum archive or encyclopedia.

There's no "toning" happening here - this is how a palladium print looks out the gate. I can push the color around a bit by changing the chemical composition (blending platinum in for example, or using a different contrast agent like gold chloride), but the warm brown is what palladium does by nature.

Ah, thank you, TFC. I'm not at all smart about some of the alternate prints are achieved. Its beautiful any way its obtained.
