Kelsey Dylan - Wild Abandonment

I was playing with the idea of the abandonment of society and the idea of what we might be like if society fell, left with only remnants of the industrial age and succumbing to our animalistic selves.

Thanks, I tried it as a 6x6 and asked a few people and we all agreed it was better as an 8x10(6x7) but vertical means that the can is very far from the focus if the image and it's just too far in the corner if I vertically crop it, at least that was what I was thinking when looking at it, but I agree it's hard to decide how to frame it.The twig should have been to the side, but I kind of liked how it followed the hair, but I agree the twig being out of focus is distracting as can be the side stone, but it gives it a placing, she's not just in the woods but near a cave type living structure, I felt it gave it more ... I don't know the word... Context? A place.

I can see your point but I suppose context can sometimes be over felt in terms of the photograph; perhaps a more abstracted contextualisation might work better if that is important. Although please take into account my way of working which tends towards composition first so my thoughts do not have to be the same as yours.Tom
