Keep off the dunes

Eddie, its beautiful - and the hand coloring blows me away. Just the thought is intimidating 'cause I have enough trouble drawing a stick figure. If you said it was Portra 160, I'd have no trouble believing it. Bravo Eddie!

I'm telling you, HiHo- you can do this. I can't draw a stick figure either. If you're printing, use some matte paper, get yourself some pencils and oils, eraserstiks, cotton balls and Q-Tips. It's not as exacting as it looks. Much of it is illusory.

If I can ever work up the courage, Eddie - it'll be you that gets all the thanks. The trip through your gallery showed you've done this alot & alot of wonderful different takes on a print. I love the feel & the attitude. Your encouragement is valued more than I can say.

HiHo- You don't need courage. You just need to go for it. The learning curve is short. Once you realize where the illusions lay, it all falls into place. I've been trying to think of a way to do some sort of hand-coloring tutorial for APUG. I should give it some more serious thought.
