have you read William Mortensen's book "the nude"?
he wouldn't have seen kindly on the small fingertips, showing on the side of her torso ;-)

I like it though..
the crop works very fine!

effective use of space and tonality. I would be interested in seeing what it would look like if her left side was just a tad darker. I guess with the cost of Pt/Pd I will check it out myself with PS. I am sure when I satisfy my curiosity I will find that your vision is the stronger.

Don't bother with Mortensen. After you finish the book, he'll still be dead. Send us more of Kayt instead.
That curve of breast in arm is magical.
Unfortunately, on my monitor, I lose the right shoulder in the background. Send a print to reassure me ;-))

I'm not surprised the edge is lost on a monitor because it's very subtle on the print. In a way it's the continual change of tone in her arm against the straight tone of the background that reveals it. If I let myself see in three dimensions then my brain tells me what's there, but if I compare tone against tone then it's very hard to see.

I'll happily send you a print to reassure you that the edge is there, but would you send me some $$$ first to reassure me that I can afford to buy some more film? ;-))

well. Mortensens reply would be the opposite...

the right arm dissapears nicely on the front of her body - in our minds, it could end in her hear - on her shoulders ot elsewhere..
the "problem" is the fingertips. where do they "come" from?
the look almost like they ar glued to the body, with no connection to the torso - or to the right arm..
"protruding from nowhere" he called it.

Now; whether it is a problem or not is another matter. I am well aware, that time has passed since he made his observations.
but your images are so classic (?)
and the ideas of posing - lighting - composing is an eternal thing (?)..
