Kalli - window light

My daughter Kalli is always willing to pose for me. This is a 1/2 plate tintype on aluminum. The collodion is pretty old, mixed about three months ago- just a shade of pink so it was very slow. It is a 25 second exposure, wide open, window light with reflector.

For those that are not in the know, collodion starts out straw colored when it is new. It is fast and has good mid tones. As it ages it starts to go red in color, the speed diminishes and the contrast increases. When it goes blood red it is pretty much useless all except for salting your next batch of collodion for use.
