There is so much to read from this man's eyes. Haunting, pleading, curious even. Your used of minimal depth of field is a stroke of genius. Gives the rest of the pic a somber feeling, which I am certain is what it should be.

Can you share some technical information: film, paper etc. This is interesting because of the glow in the central area and eyes of this shot begs the question of technique.

I think that the strong diagnal contrasts with, and emphasizes the forms of the people and gives a feeling of depth despite the limited depth of field. Very expressive eyes.
