200 ISO was my favourite Kodachrome emulsion. I borrowed a Leica R 6.2 and 80mm f/1.4 lens to take some portraits of my nephews and nieces. December 2010.
It's the eyes and the hair. Photoshoppers put themselves through hell to trying get even close to this effect. It's futile, of course. A beautifully preserved moment.
Excellent. I love these unposed, unpretentious, completely natural portraits of children. This is already a gem but will only be worth more and more over time.
Thanks for the nice words folks. He & his two year older brother had just spent an hour belting the crap out of each other. Then they had some dinner, mucked around on Facebook and watched some awful Disney TV. Finally I got them outside for some magic hour portraits. Will post a shot of the older brother after the hols.
