I am by no means one to give a critique, but I don't know if the horses get lost in the sky and therefore are not the main focus of the shot, or if the intent is to have one say, "Oh, there's horses there too" Either way it kept my attention a but longer thinking about it.

My first thoughts were the same as Fireguy.
But after looking one more time, I think it's great.
And your cropping enhance the photography.

Thank you guys for for comments and I must admit that my scan of this print is not as good as the print itself. There is a lot more detail in the sky than what appears here. BTW its a print from my Xpan camera and is more or less the full neg.
