Another shot taken at Twin Cities Photography Studios. This was a little darker than I usually like, but it was first plate of the day using a new 13 inch Darlot. It is also a scan of the varnished plate. Julia was a good sport for the 15 second exposure. Lighting wise, it could do with a lot more UV. Unfortunately, I only had room in my car for one light as I had the darkbox with me :-(
It is very dark, but I think it's elegant.
Her facial features are clearly visible, and there is light caught in her eyes - the most important thing if you ask me.
I like it.
I like it...this type of lighting is starting to be a favourite. WPC portraits tend to be overexposed and flat alot of the time in my opinion...no 3-dimentionality. Lovely, Andrew. K
