Journey to the Sea

Bromoil print on Kentmere Fineprint paper. Black, orange and yellow ochre lithographic inks were inked with a pastry brush.

I really like this one, the composition and colors. It holds my attention.

The grain/texture or whatever it is really makes this image.

The silhouettes the clouds, the bright light in the distance, lots of metaphors in this, whether you intended them or not.

I like everything about this image. Without looking at the title, my first thought was, "There goes Willy Loman." I hope that doesn't offend.

This goes into my favorites gallery.

LOL! No offense taken. Maybe it is ol' Willie, on the way to his next sales call. Actually it is an image of a surf fisherman carrying his live bait pail down to the edge of the sea. After printing the negative it looked to me more like a man carrying a suit case, however. Hence, the title. Thanks for taking a gander and commenting!

Cheers,

Gene
