On the screen this picture is very flat for my liking. It the original print as flat? If this is what you intended then thats fine, however IMHO I like to see more punch in a photograph like this. I do like the composition, which reminds me I have slides of a friends band taken many years ago must look them out and you can give me feedback.
in the actual print, the blacks are jet black (and printed on a cooltone paper) not kinday dark grey like the scan shows. and the highlights seem to jump off the paper. This negative was grainy and kinda thin, but printed in the way that I saw the image in real life. Thanks for the comments.
I don't know if it's just me but I have always found TMAX thin. I was on a dev and printing course and produced some real cracking negs under instruction. I told the instructor that they were better than what I usually produced and he asked to see them. He hardly looked at them and announced "Ah TMAX they're always thin" his advice was to use Ilford film, or fuji if you need speed, or always use TMAX film in conjuction with it's own developer. Don't know if this is of any help as I haven't touched TMAX since!
