This is Joanna, a friend from Greece. The print shows more detail in the darker areas. Still unsure whether to burn in completly the shadow area of the face, also the crop may need some work.
This looks good, I've tried something alike yesterday but couldn't get the background this black, (partly because there where no black backgrounds) The shadow on the 'dark side' of here face still holds enough detail so why burn it any further? You can try to see how it looks but this seems natural to me. (maybe a fraction on her right eye, left for us...) But heehee this is a matter of taste isn't it? Cheers!
If you could see her right eye, then I would hold that. If you really cannot see her right eye, then I would burn it dark and only see the L/H side of her face. I take it that the clothing can be seen in detail? The cropping looks fine to me.
Thanks for your comments, there is not as much detail as i would like on her right eye. I have printed it to 16x12 and burnt the right eye and i think i will stick with that. The clothing can be made out Mick on the print. Being a bit picky i should have noticed that part of her chin was slightly covered by her cardigan, will try to pay more attention to these little details next time.
