my focus was a bit off. i find it easier to focus on the glasses rim....but as you can see that is not good enough when shooting wide open on 8x10.

i will make some water house stops for it and try shooting at f5 or so just to gain a whisper of DOF

I think it is a good image and it certainly is an interesting lens you have here. However, what I find most intriguing is that the shallow depth of field and placing the focus on the glasses conveys an eerie feeling to me.
 
There's a lot of personality coming through! Don't mind the out of focus at all. Nice!

Wow, sensational lens.....the shallow DOF is just perfect here....the focus point doesn't distract from the portrait in my opinion.
