Jack and I at the park. He wandered over to the creek and watched the water flow past. It was one of those 98 degree days that zaps the energy even from 6 1/2 year olds. The sun was setting and was low in the sky, and the entire park was bathed in a yellow glow.
This was an Olympus 35RC camera I found for $19. Tiny, compact. Cheap Rangefinder, with a yellow filter I found a way to attach.
I have been away from film stuck in "digital mode" and have not printed in over a year. So I spent all day yesterday getting reacquainted with the chemicals, and just printing. It is something that was missing in the digital world, of capturing an image, and messing with it in lightroom to make it "perfect". And there was just something missing. The love of the image, the love of the process is striped away, and it just becomes about the output. So this is just my first image back, back to my first love of just enjoying film...again. I feel like I'm home again.
