I find this interesting. The age of the window, combined with the gently aged hands to me is a nice reverberation in the frame. Makes me wonder what those windows and hands have seen and experienced. It does feel sort of lonely.
(It would be interesting to see if you could upload a slightly smaller version that isn't so compressed and pixelated).
Thanks, Barry. The gallery upload software automatically shrinks files larger than 850 pixels in the long dimension. When it does, it also compresses the files quite drastically, causing the uploads to not look their best. Just in case you were not aware of that.
Barry, you have successfully convinced me nudes are relevant these days. I am never interrested in other peoples idea of sexy or provacative, you have evoked a feeling in this image that I find fascinating. Thank you--job very well done--on every level.
Thank you for the kind words. I don't particularly feel these images are sexy in any way but when I went back and looked at them a few day after the shoot I must say that they caused me to have a sense of isolation and loneliness. We are inundated with nude images of beautiful people with perfect bodies. I am not opposed to that but I feel that people with less than "perfect" bodies make beautiful images and are overlooked by most photographers. Some of the better images from this shoot were taken with a digital camera and I can't show them here. I was using my digital as a polaroid of sort and several of those images were really good I thought.
