Is it the Singer, or is it the Song?

Something private:
“It´s the Singer, not the Song”
Bullshit! Don´t believe Mick´s words. And this Holga is a fickle creature.

When I went back home from the early morning walk with the dog on Sunday, I met my youngest son Jonas on his bicycle and he asked me for the Holga. I had only taken one single shot, so I said to him: Listen son, there are eleven exposures left. Don´t waste it! Look through the rangefinder and take a shot, when you are sure it is worthwhile. Of course he took all – he is 12 years old, started to take pictures just some weeks ago, actually I bought the Holga not for me, but for him.
After developing this film I was pleased concerning the rate of yield but rather shocked about the doublet, felt somewhat like a Greek Tragedy.
Should I be proud, or should I be sad due to Holga´s perfidiousness?

Pretty amazing. Daniel said it well.
And, you should be very proud. I had a similar moment, except for the similarity of exposure, when my kid went to the Badlands, South Dakota, two summers ago. I sent with him a Minox 35GT with one roll of Neopan 1600 in it. He came back with 14 pictures out of 36 exposed, so I asked if he hadn't taken the camera with him. He said that he just didn't find that much interesting to photograph! But then I developed the film and there were 13 gorgeous exposures and one blooper, which was when somebody else had used the camera for a group shot. One of them were so good that I made an 11x14 of it and it hangs on permanent display in our living room. I was so proud!
