Bakery/Wedding paraphernalia shop in Dublin. Was run by the guy who owned it and lived upstairs will into his early nineties. Prime location surrounded by pubs so probably not long for this world.
I was in Dublin a few years ago and it was refreshing to see how much of old Dublin remained compared to what has happened to so many U.K. towns and cities . We sacrifice the past to the God of Mammon with little thought and those we elect to civic office are often the most ardent converts to the maxim that growth is worth any pain.
