Would never have guessed this is Ireland... It is, really? Stark, expansive, uplifting. The slightly skewed horizon irritates a little. But who said horizons always have to be perfectly level?

Really like this, yeah the horizon thing, but does not really bother me with this image...The Dust on the other hand does (but mostly because I have to fight with it also). Overall, this is a very good image and I enjoyed seeing it - Thanks for sharing

Hi guys thanks for the comments, the horizon I think is actually a hill, I could be wrong, took this one last October but the dust is another matter, I'm in a hard water area and spent a few quid on a filtering system to take it out and it hasn't worked and I'm afraid to try and pick the spots off the neg, any advice out there ? PM if you can help, Paul.

Wonderful sense of being drawn into the frame. Very well done!

Nice one Paul, as people have said hard to believe that it was taken in Ireland. There is a great sense of an expansive landscape. My solution to the spots would be to print the negs and then spot them. Some people use distilled water as a final rinse.

Considering the poles are not standing straight either, I guess you got the camera position wrong, unless all poles in Ireland lean... Well, actually, considering the boggy soils and the eternal Western winds, it might not be such a weird idea

As Vincent said, don't mess with negatives, but spot the prints. It is not so hard as it seems, especially on fibre based paper. Just start with a small rather dilute amount of spotting ink, and build the ink on the dust spots up gradually until the spots blend in with the surrounding. Avoid trying to do it in one go, with one thick concentrated spot of ink. Big risk you over-do it then.
