Introibo ad altare Dei

Taken at a rest stop on I-71, just inside Arkansas from Missouri, October 2013.

I would have preferred to shoot this in B&W, but the handiest camera I had on me was loaded with color film.

  1. Yes
Best camera is the one you have with you! I like the almost symmetry and the plain sky. This would look good with some toning or maybe added texture. When you print it, play around a little.

You may be able to pull a monochrome print out of your negative via lith developer/silver gelatin. I've heard it's possible and am planning on digging out some old C-41 myself; haven't tried it yet. I think this negative would be well suited.

Thanks, folks. I'm thinking of having this printed large in color by a lab, as I think it would look great on a big wall. In the meantime, I'm going to attempt an 11x14 B&W silver gelatin print in the darkroom. I've done it from BW400CN before, but I'm not sure how the transparency of Ektar compares to that of BW400CN.
