Installation

Another "real print"; this too hangs in the Lehigh Art Alliance Juried Photography Exhibition -- not bad for a 50+ year old folder, eh! Placing a sculptural piece at the Steel Stacks Campus, an outdoor cultural venue in the shadow of the former Bethlehem Steel blast furnaces. The designer of the piece is Elena Columbo.
Location
Bethlehem, PA -- former steel mill site
Equipment Used
Perkeo II (80mm f/3.5 Color-Skopar)
Exposure
1/100 @ f/11 or abouts
Film & Developer
Kodak 125PX (only 8 rolls left, sniff!); HC110 1+63
Paper & Developer
Ilford MG Warmtone in Dektol 1+2, toned lightly in Kodak Brown Toner
I suppose you could argue that a steelworks is relatively monochromatic anyway but I always feel that industry shots and especially heavy industry comes across much better in B&W. I grew up in a steel town and this has reminded me that there was always a browness about the steelworks which has been captured very well here.

"-- not bad for a 50+ year old folder, eh! " Is that you, or the camera?

The picture is great. Congratulations!

Thanks! Actually, I do feel a bit folded sometimes, but I have about 20 years on the camera -- it's one I couldn't afford when I was in college.
