@Peter Schrager I'm a little confused by your comment. Do you mean the composition needs work? Yes, I agree - this was done as a technical exercise to show my students the capability of the medium. I wasn't making this as fine art to put on a gallery wall.
@HiHoSilver The Colosseum shots have their limitations - part of it is the small size, and part is the rather significant limits of the camera - the Belair X6-12 is a primitive bordering on crude camera with low-resolution lenses made of plastic not glass, only two aperture options - f8 and f16, and an odd little electronic shutter that is purely automatic - you can't set speeds on it other than B. But I think the images have their charms.
Perfect formula, PT/Pd and the rag paper, to capture the light, shadows, lights subject and format. An exquisite print of an extinct animal. I love this. And that lens is easily my favorite in my kit. It is one of the two (other is 450mm Fuji) i use with 8x10, and my prime lens on the 4x5 field camera.
