Inner Glow

4x5 silver contact print

Stopped for more early morning light at the Ritchie Ledges last week. Didn't spend much time there but managed to leave with this and another I printed tonight. It seemed as though the light was resting on the ledge of the black stone at the bottom... One of my favorite places to make pictures.

Very nice! An interesting study in negative space -- if I blink, the dark rocks are foreground; blink again, it's almost as though the lighter rocks are foreground.
(Or maybe I'm up too late! )

I don't think it's lack of sleep =) as Andrew mentioned, this was along the same lines as my "Lime Kiln" post. A bit of a visual puzzle with positive and negative relationships. Thanks everyone. Shawn
