The wind was blowing very hard and for the first time this season I knew colder days were quickly approaching.

Fantastic work John.

Question: what does the gold add to this image?
Just wondering..

John, outstanding image, and a departure from your normal output that is refreshing (in the best sense of the word).

Thanks for the comments everybody. Vic, the gold toning adds a nice subtle pink/salmon color to the highlights when combined with brown or sepia toners. It also cools down the browns on warmtone paper. Because I used selenium as well the actual print has nice brown shadows, neutral mid tones and very mild pink/salmon highlights that give the image a 3D feel.

Regards,
John

Very classical view, but so perfectly done ... this is exquisite work. The detail, tones and perfect contrast in scene is amazing. r.

I like the composition, seperated in 3 parts, clouds, sea, rocks and the details in it. Very nice. Bert
