Impasse

This picture of my daughter, Tracy, appeared on the cover an album entitled "Impasse" by Glenn Wilson. I adopted that title for the photo. Glenn is a baritone sax player. The photo is from 1978, the album is from the mid 80's and this print is from the late 90s.

It is definitely an interesting image. Hard to make sense of. Some of the branches seem to be roots and the sky seems to be the ground. I can't figure it out.

I agree it's very disorienting, and that makes it successful. More questions than answers, and that keeps me looking.

Thanks for the kind words. There were trees growing in the park that had branches that grew up and then down again. They were very easy to climb and I was up the tree looking down. if you look carefully you can see some of the branches touching the ground. The same trees are in two other shots in my gallery, Somewhere I have Never Traveled, and Kim and Tracy in a Tree.
