It was scenes of shapes and textures like this spotted during a couple of weeks in Italy (they are everywhere!) that prompted me to resurrect B&W film photography in my life. With such subjects I find color can become a distraction.
Beautiful image. It reminds me of Paul Strand´s work in Italy. It even has the tonality of his prints,
which were a nightmare for curators, since he liked applying varnish to the images. -Kudos
