1906 Courtroom - about 95+% original (couldn't find 1906 security cams & Dell Monitors :) ) Lighting, seating, coat racks, all orig, except witness chair, which is period authentic. This is a *working* courtroom. Not shown is that the rail pillar on left w/ persuasion tool of 12ga variety.
My wife likes sepia. She likes this image. I love it - not so much for the sepia, but for the history and just quite excellent composition and quality in the image. Glad to hear this space is in real use as it was meant, and not a mere museum mock-up. I can easily stand the 21st century trappings - hope those include central AC!
Of all the toners, its the only one I like very consistently. All my paper has been RC & not recommended for toner. I'll do sepia someday. The room itself was interesting & the museum staff like the shot. I couldn't get away from the feeling it was a 'record' shot, but the history was worth recording. The sepia seemed to fit.
Michael, the hallway the room is on - is straight out of a Bogart movie or mystery novel. The whole bldg is. I'm glad the people liked the work - said the Judge was gonna love 'em & I'd be welcome to come shoot anytime. You can bet the maintenance supervisor (gave me access to the clock tower) will get a loaf of sourdough.
