Thank You, Fred. There was an intermittent breeze - which had me worried. I got lucky here - out of about 14 attempts. The prior shot of the spiral wasn't so lucky at 46s. 'Hope you & yours are very well.
Very nice work. I dragged my Bronica 1:1 macro lens out a week or two back to "finish off a roll" on some new growth I spied whilst weeding and the breezes made me crazy -- finally went inside and did a still life!
Sepia Hawk, thank You!
David, its encouraging that it has interest even w/out knowing what it is. Its how the long leaves of a sword fern start out. First as hairy curlicue, then as it unfurls, opposed curled green leaf sections emerge from the fuzz. They're sort of the iconic plant of a NW rainforest. 'No need to plant - just try to keep them from swallowing the house. 'Hope you're very well. http://www.nwplants.com/business/catalog/pol_mun.html
Wonderful fiddleheads ! Looking at your catalogue, it is an unusual subject for you, but taken with the same clarity you approach classical mechanics with.
It is great when you got your camera/film/developer combo down to a standard, and all you have to focus on is the viewfinder, because you can rely on the rest.
Very nice job !
Peter - from you, that's something! When I want to show someone painfully brilliant detail on a plant/leaf - your gallery is where I go. Yes, this is different for me - as is the 'still life', but sometimes the weather keeps me close to home or inside. I see you have a post, which I'm anxious to see. 'Hope you've been very very well.
