I've not understood why the fire escape/stairway/stairwell shots grab my attention. Michael kindly offered thoughts about patters - intricacy, chaotic or otherwise - that seem to move me closer to having some feeling about it. Sly's fine MSA entry raised the question.

Love this. Not only the pattern, but the display of tones is wonderful

Ken, Thank You. I've never posted this one or shots like it 'cause I'm at a loss to describe what draws me to it. MichaelOrr kindly gave some navigation there - talking about the patterns of lines - intricate or chaotic that catch my eye - like your shot of the business park or mall through the window. The patterns of lines drew me in.

It makes me dizzy! Really cool look as OptiKen says and the cris-crossing lines and patterns. And, i am glad you kept the lamp post globes in there to break it up and add situational context. This is one time i have seen the high V/H ratio of 35mm work so well in a photo. Great stuff.

Its really awkward for me - not having any aesthetic orientation. It just looked like an awful lot of texture in one place & kept me looking at it.

I should clarify the dizzy comment - it actually gives me a bit of vertigo, and i am a bit acrophobic, so not a comment on the photo. Funny how a little image can evoke a reality that triggers these things.

Much of my life I've been nervous of downhill straight in or on a vehicle. That cliff left a mark.

Snowball, Thank You. As you can see from prior comments, I wasn't at all sure why I was shooting it when I did.
