Beaver Creek Ice
'Not the one I wanted most, which was a full bright green mapleleaf, flash-frozen in a 1" thick sheet w/ hanging icicles. Sigh. The one that got away.
This is one where I feel MORE depth of field would benefit you. The ice on the right/back being out of focus is distracting. I'd also like to see a hair more tonal separation between the leaf and the rock. And I know I'll take some heat for this opinion but I'd like to see a little more balance between the ice and the rock in terms of left-right dominance.
TFC, Thank You!! 'Agreed about DOF. I found myself w/out tripod & was trading between steady & sharp/dof. in 35mm, I try to shoot f5.6 when I want sharp & more when there's more subject depth. I can see how a bit of dodging/lightening of the leaf would help. 'Sort of on the fence on ice/rock, right left. I tend to give more weight to other's view there, 'cause my sense of that is not very strong.
Its sure kind of you to share your impressions. I appreciate it alot. 'Hope you're very well.
