A really good look at this fine architectural wonder, HiHo. As I do not do direct B&W work I can only marvel at some of the finer details it can convey at times. Nicely done....
Good work! That's quite an interesting structure to point a lens at. In Philly's Fairmount Park there is Shofuso, a Japanese house and garden that was relocated there from elsewhere. I am always impressed with the ability of folks from the Asian cultures to create a place of serenity in a small space surrounded by "the big city." Great places just to sit and contemplate. I do have pictures of the aforementioned with a bonsai exhibit installed, but they were from the D!git@l Daze ...
DWT - Thank You. 'Don't know why, but you're right about having a sense of serenity. It shows in the art, the artistry of living space. Some of the more compelling coastal scenes are Viet Namese w/ scenes of rugged sea stacks standing tall, sea caves & archways. The shot w/ the modern blgs was to capture that contrast of the serenity amidst the modern/commercial. I hope to shoot the Japanese gardens in a few months.
Nodda, that's so kind to relay word from you daughter. Thank You! I had mental ramblings of it being where Phil Knight got his 'swoosh' logo for Nike shoes.
