Image from a Retina was posted some wks ago. When I mentioned I also shot w/ the MF Ikonta, some said they'd like to see it. Same film, but with PyroHD semi
You're very right, Svenedin. No other camera I have will render like this. Limitation are there w/ glare/flare, etc, but when its right that glass really delivers the goods. I've love seeing your shots w/ the more recent version w/ coated optics & am jealous you found hood & filters. 'Hope to see more soon.
Thanks. I haven't used the Ikonta this week but I did shoot 2 rolls of 35mm on my OM4-Ti. The weather was awful, in fact it snowed yesterday which is very unusual for late April in the South of the UK. I am rather more precious about my elderly Ikonta than my OM4. However, I have now got a connector that converts a hot shoe flash to PC cable so I am experimenting with my Ikonta indoors using flash.
Have you ever applied an unsharp mask to your negatives? I used to do that a lot. Still do sometimes for alt printing. No other method out there in my opinion, can bring out shadow detail like unsharp masking.
I'm ignorant about the process for now. 'Sounds like I need to get smarter about it. I'll look around for info/orientation. I've only heard the term applied to digital.
I'm starting here: http://www.largeformatphotography.info/unsharp/
