I really like this portrait, but not being from the US I don't quite know what's going on...can you expand?

Sure-There are a group of people known as the Mennonites, who are a Christian group of folks, in various parts of the US that want nothing to do with modern conveniences such as TV, radio, maybe the telephone and they dress a bit differently than most folks and apparently dislike the modern day life most of us experience. There's a lot to be said for that. They're wonderful people and make the best bread and molasses I've ever had. They are open to the public at least once a year around this time of year when they make their goodies. Their name is derived from Menno Simons, a Catholic priest who aligned himself with the Anabaptists in 1536 and apparently, the name stuck. This little guy was sitting close by where they make the molasses and as I watched him it looked like a potentially good shot so, I didn't let the moment pass.

Very nice.. Timeless. Looks like something that Dorthea Lange would of shot back in the day.Todd

I don't think that was another person but rather other cook ware of a sort. It's been a while since I shot that so, I could be wrong.
