This is well seen and the Pt/Pt print quality works beautifully with the tonal values in the subject. Years ago I played with abstract expressionist painting for a while. (I found it so different from photography). So, when I see an image like this, I have a compulsion to crop the edges off, so that only the beautiful swirling forms are left. Then it becomes more about that than the object itself. This comment is not meant to be a critique, just a description of my reaction to this work.
Also, do have a cache of the old Crane's Cover? It was my all time favorite paper Pt/Pd printing?? I know they eventually reformulated it and it stopped working.
