Photographed near noon into the glare, I wanted to convey the heat and desolation of this coastal church. A few fett behind me grew the tadtiest gooseneck barnacles I've ever had.
Much as I don't like using the word "juxtaposition", it really works here. The church really seems to grow from the rocks that I presume were used to build it. A well thought out photograph.
Thank you all for your feedback. Galicia is an amazing region of coastal landscape and celtic culture, mixed with a rich historical background. I'd love to return with large format, as most of the scenes I photographed, fell within Weston's definition of distance and beauty: "If it is farther than 500 yards from the car, it is not photogenic."
