Very interesting! I love how the ice is echoed by the reeds in the mid-ground behind the fountain, and the tones of the ground in the front are picked up by the sky. The flared background lights on both sides (and through the ice) are wonderful! Excellent shot!

Thanks everyone! Yes. Happy to have this one in the bag. Andy... It is a long tradition on Belle Isle of setting up a pile of evergreen branches and running a pole up through it that sprays water over the course of the winter. Usually by this time it is a huge ice sculpture, but it has been a little warm this year. I think it was originally a tree that grew there that they did this with, but I can't be sure. @Parker....
