So much nicer than the scan. More organic and subtle. Your scans don't do justice to what you put on paper. (and I mean that as a compliment to your darkroom skills- not bashing your scanning skills... )
Beautiful image. There seems to be an endless series of tones in there. I can relate to your struggle to find darkroom time. But I am never sorry when I get round to it eventually.

Tony, looking around where we live, there's ice everywhere this time of year. When you see something like this, you can't not photograph it. Such a gift to find something like this, and it really was our friend Steve (ishutteratthethought) that drew me over to see it. Without him I think the rest of us would have completely missed it.
Andy, I made harder prints of this too, but decided that how I saw the ice was more gentle. I'm really happy that we were there together, ending up making prints of something so beautiful.
