I've uploaded a negative scan of this photograph in another thread as a reference to the print. I thought it would be interesting for people to post similar neg/print pairings to demonstrate the interpretive process.

The is fantastic Daniel. I have taken numerous pics of iceforms and never had one turn out this nice.

Very beautiful, Daniel! I think with the other ice studies pure chill was described, while this one has a warm glow to it. The same but different. The whole series is very nice indeed! Looking forward to more.

Thank you all for your kind comments.

I definitely got a different impression when photographing this compared to the earlier ice scenes. The light was brilliantly warm shining through the ice from behind and I wanted to convey this with the light toning of the highlights.

All the best,
Daniel

Brilliant - very nice luminousity... Very well done. The viewer can feel the wetness of the ice. Thanks for posting.
