second photo with my new (ancient) 1947 Graflex Speed Graphic. 135mm f/11 @ 1/60th. I took a light reading with my ancient Sekonic L398, on the dark side and the bright side. I split the difference and used the above timing. looks like it worked. Unicolor Drum, Stock Xtol.. 6min.
Thank you so much. Sometimes I get lucky. I am still trying to figure out this camera. I just got it yesterday. I can't wait to print this being that is only the second photo I have shot with this camera. The first photo was of my spouse. I scanned it on an Epson V500, and the V500 only does up to 6x9. I want to get a V700, but I also enjoy printing on my Beseler M45. Maybe next week. Then I can scan the whole paper image on the V500.
@macfred Thank you. Yes, it caught my eye as the Sun was setting. I will remember this shot forever. The second ever photo with the Speed Graphic. I was trying to get the extension bed to drop. no I didn't read the manual. lol. I'm not even sure if the bellows has any light leaks...so I draped a dark handtowel over the bellows and film holder. I just love this camera. I have to get more film for it. I am looking forward to Printing it today after some sleep. I will rescan the entire 8x10 image sometime tomorrow. I am a bit rusty with my print skills. should be fun. Thanks for dropping by.
