Hurricane Sandy - Evacuated Beach Garage

People abandoned their beach homes for safety while I went into it, this was a double door garage (as in front and back side opened) and I presume they left the doors open on both sides to allow the water to flow through rather than tear through the doors). What an amazing day.

Quite surreal. So you're the guy hanging on to a lamp post with a camera while everyone else is running for safety?

Yup I actually climbed that spiral staircase later on too, it was a 3 story house and I had to hook my legs in the rails to hold on and not get blown off the railing from the intense wind... The shots from above are mostly useless because there was just too much water on the lens and the droplets warped the image.

Wow, Stone. Your documentation of this storm has been the best stuff you've posted.
