Special note: I used desaturate in Gimp because the image was tinted a brownish tone due to chromium compounds that, for some strange reason, wasn't able to be removed from the film. I used a sodium sulfite clearing bath and even extended washing and fixing times but couldn't get rid of the deposits from the dichromate bleach off from the film. My first three films came out with this brownish tone and I have now switched to using a permanganate bleach until I can figure all of this out. The brown tone can work for some subjects but I would like to strive for a neutral tone with a dichromate bleach. If anyone out there could think of what could have went wrong I am all ears. This is a mystery to me and to many others.
