I discovered that my flash don't fire with this 50mm lens in this very moment. The consequence is that the face lacks volume, and it is very hard to print, any suggestions?

I like it as is. Maybe a little more contrast would be good, but the subject has a weird, compelling quality for me. It begs many questions. I like it.

Yes, I agree with Troy. It is better this way. But do have the lens checked out.

Is it an older lens with a flashbulb as well as electronic flash setting? If it's set to fire with a bulb it won't fire with a strobe correctly.

it's a CF one, so is suppose to fire both, anyway, I have to send it to the repare shop.
