Not a criticism but on my screen there is a very slight pinkness in the plastic boxes, plastic awning and several of the nearest paving slabs. Is this an aspect of the camera's lens, a scanning artifact or in fact are these plastic boxes and awning slightly pink anyway?

A little story: Roger Hicks and his wife had taken a picture of a cat they knew on a visit to the U.S. When they did the print back in the U.K. they couldn't get rid of the slight pinkish look to the cats fur without adversely affecting the rest of the colours no matter what they tried . When they next saw the cat they realised his fur was very delicately pink but before doing the print their brains had always turned the cat's fur to the "expected " white . The negative had no such brain and recorded the correct colour :D

Thanks It might be my eyes and as yet no-one has commented to help confirm or deny what I think I see.

Might be worth a test with fresh film and same lab... however there's also dark vignette on both sides: if someone "scanned this" with a camera rather than proper scanner the problem might be bad light source and attempt to correct that.

OK.. so my guess is that the magenta problem, which is strong at the bottom and not at the top, has to do with the lab. Do they have serious machinery (eg Noritsu) or are they low volume therefore using something involving reels?

Just in passing, some "minilabs" do a very bad job of chemistry.

I think correction will have to be local rather than overall to prevent sky from going green...shouldn't be hard. It's a fun photo, well worth extra effort.
