Horses of Corolla

My first print from the photographs I made of the wild horses of the North Carolina Outer Banks.

Beautiful creatures. There is a population of about 100 horses, and they roam wild on the Northern part of the islands. I didn't want to go too close, as they are quite dangerous animals, so environmental portraits of them like this seemed appropriate.

5 by 12 inch print from a full width 35mm negative.

Thanks for looking,

- Thomas

This is stunning Thomas, the pose of the horse that resonates the curves of the sandy dunes is just fantastic... It looks like a picture from a fairy tale... Close to where I live in the Netherlands, we have a similar area with more or less wild horses, this makes me want to go out and try something too with these animals. Must have taken some patience to get such a shot.

Your choice for lith printing here is fabulous.

Thomas very nice.

What an amazing sand storm - how much grit ended up in your camera Thomas? Like the others, it's an amazing image that I keep coming back to look at.
