Hopper indeed! Great sense of strong, morning (?) light. The red filter works especially well here.
 
This is my second posting, the first deleted as it was really a test to see how all this works, hi.
Can anyone ok my naive(?) approach to scanning. I scanned this print at 2400ppi and printed digitally to inspect.. at 1440 ppi to match my printer max resolution. But do we need 1440 ppi, or more to display b&w prints well?

You shouldn't have to print the picture digitally in order to do an acceptable scan... In fact, we are only interested in how your silver gelatin print looks. One of our members was kind enough to write a short primer on scanning you can find it here:
