in another critique we discussed coating the papers in different ways to make the image appear "float". i like to see brush strokes on the final print. i usually only have them on the right and left side of the image. what do you think about having them all the way around?
hi eddie
personally I'm not big on brushstrokes, I try and keep them very subtle. the print looks pretty good. the contrast could be a little higher, perhaps a negative with more contrast? For a single coat print it looks good. I usually double coat. toning also deepens the blacks but also changes the colour of the print.

Perfect subject for a VDB print, and I do like those brush strokes. These don't always work for me, but on this shot the strokes suit the subject matter well.
