Not knowing how experienced you are in darkroom techniques, I'm inclined to assume by your comment that you've entertained the possibility that these affects may be the result of PhotoShop manipulations which you are familiar with and even applied to your own photos. I'm not sure whether to be insulted or flattered. Insulted that I would actually post something that was not strictly darkroom created. Flattered - well no I'm not flattered. I'm fully aware of the tools of PhotoShop to enable a change of a straight negative into a grainy, diffused and toned monster to simulate a darkroom creation and pass it off as such which, by the way, is frowned upon here. I can assure you that these photos you refer to are all scans of actual prints and PhotoShopped only to the extent to remove dust spots and adjust contrast and tone to closely match the originals. Of course by not posting equip/techniques encourages viewers such as yourself to speculate. Surprisingly, I appreciate given this opportunity to voice this low level friendly rant. I use Nikon FM2n, Leica M3 and Olympus OM-1 and mostly Tri-X, D76-1:1, FG-7,Acufine, Rodinal, MCC-111 and Ilford WT, LPD and ID-78 and Neutal WA and Selectol Soft, Selenium, KBT, Sepia and a few diffussion screens. By the way -- the sheep are hooded to keep them clean because they've been trimmed and shampooed and awaiting "exhibition" at a county fair here in Michigan. The KKK reference is interesting.
