These are really lovely. You're very fortunate to live near such an interesting cemetery. Reminiscent of the fayum portraits of Roman Egypt. Is this common in your region?
I never see such images on the headstones over here.

portraits are easy over there, you don't have to ask them if they approve having their picture taken!

we have a lot of those graveyards
