First sheet of paper in a tray in over a year. My son kindly agreed to sit/lean--he also watched as the image appeared in the tray. I'm suprised at the range of tones with the paper neg. Toned to match what I hope will be the results in polymax brown toner.
I think it's a great shot, too. The Newtown incident has given the recent children's portraits I've seen a sense of poignancy (for me, anyway), and his wistful expression really emphasizes this feeling. Thanks for posting.
Wonderful, Matt. A soft focus portrait where the soft focus does not feel like a gimmick. Really great expression, and as has been said, the light is very nice. If it were my print I'd crop a little off the top, but that's really minor.
