I really like this image. Very nicely seen and executed, Alex. My kind of subject matter and certainly something Wright Morris would indeed have taken. I also see a very strong David Plowden influence here too, Alex. What do you think?
Yeah Daniel, I like Plowden. I found him after someone else made that comparison. There's a town here in KS he made a shot in, and within reasonable driving distance. One of these days, I'm going there and shoot, some 30 years later.

Excellent work. I love the feeling of forlorness that the lighting/contrast portray. Looks sad and forgotten. Out of interest what were the conditions like and resulting SBR.?(At a guess I would say 5.5 to 6)
I don't know about the SBR Phill, but it was about 10:30 am, and backlit with some hazy clouds over the sun. I wasn't sure how the backlighting was going to work until I saw how it lit the inner surfaces.
