HMS Holland 1 Submarine (1901) #1 (looking aft)

The Royal Navy's first commissioned submarine. Petro-electric. Sank in 1913 whilst being towed for scrap. Recovered 1982. Spent 4 years in a tank of sodium carbonate solution to remove the chloride ions that were corroding her. She was so obsolete by 1913 that she still had all her fittings.
